Don’t get me wrong, I like my new (as in new for me — it’s really used) car quite a bit. Especially compared to the previous deathtrap I was driving around in.
But the ‘low traction’ warning light on the dashboard has to be the most useless thing ever. When I hit an ice patch and skid, I hope I don’t need the dashboard to tell me I’m skidding. If I do, I have bigger problems than I thought.
I seriously wish I could meet the person who thought this was a good idea to have this warning light, so they could justify it to me.

Not much reaction to the announcement of Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor from me. Heck, I just had to go look up his name again to get it right, though that may be because of the hour of the morning it currently is.
I’m content to wait and see how he does onscreen, worries about whether Smith is too young for the part aside. I love Steven Moffat’s writing so hopefully it’ll all work out well. Otherwise everyone will say ‘Russell Davies left and the show went to hell,’ I suppose.
And now we can move on to playing ‘Who will be the New Companion?’ Or wondering when Smith plans to quit, since that always seems to be the thing people do when a new Doctor starts.
