It’s been a crazy and exhausting week for me, for assorted reasons. Chaotic-feeling internally, even if that is probably an over-the-top adjective to use externally.
One thing that helps bring order to my spirit is music. So it was hard to imagine anything better than ending a day with Ethan falling asleep while cuddled with Mom, while Imogen Heap streamed a live, improvised piano performance — the perfect background music.
A friend of mine asked me what I would do if I won the lottery. This is my answer. The list is not in order of importance, or order I would do it in, or anything like that. It’s just stream of consciousness listed as I thought of it.
Fund a college scholarship.
Outfund every anti-gay legal anything so badly, the proponents of such things will forever fear I will out-bid them on everything right down to their morning cup of coffee. And I just might, and I don’t even drink coffee.
Pay off our debts.
Make sure a friend of mine whose honeymoon is in peril because of legal expenses, goes.
Wherever the family wants to live, move there and live. (Staying put is also an option.)
For myself, NHL pay-per-view forever.
Save a worthy newspaper from extinction.
Live reasonably comfortably while doing everything in my means to perpetuate positive energy in the world.
