As transcribed from the December 23rd, 2008 MSNBC episode of The Rachel Maddow Show , because you have to preserve these things for posterity.
Take equal parts of honey and water. Heat them up a little bit on the stove so you get a thin honey syrup.
In a mug or a thick glass, put in:
½ ounce (or maybe an ounce) of the honey syrup
½ ounce of dark rum
½ ounce of bourbon
½ ounce of fresh lemon juice
top it off with 3 ounces of hot water out of the kettle
Stir those around a little bit.
Spritz a lemon slice as a garnish.
Miriam swears by it.
